5 reasons why you should take our exam preparatory courses
#1 We speak in English - The lessons are almost exclusively monolingual, meaning that English is used as the first language throughout the entire lesson. In fact, use of the student’s mother tongue is avoided even in email and phone conversations outside of the digital classroom. This is to maximise the student’s exposure to English-speaking environments.
#2 We offer study tips & advice for the day of the exam - Guidance is offered with a view to improving the exam candidate’s study skills as well as the stress and time management skills for the day of the exam. #3 We focus on the writing and speaking skills - We put a lot of emphasis on the development of writing and speaking skills – the skills that most exam candidates find challenging to master. #4 We help students learn vocabulary faster - We have developed a number of effective techniques and come up with various memory tricks in order to help our students memorise vocabulary faster. #5 Students take frequent mock tests to get used to the exam conditions and structure - Our course includes frequent tests to keep track of the student’s progress as well as mock tests – tests simulating the exam conditions – to familiarise the learner with the structure of the exam. |
"I highly appreciate Demi's contribution to my great success in the exams. I wouldn't have achieved my goal without her guidance, her enthusiasm, or her profound knowledge, which she generously imparts to her students.”

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE
STEP 1: PLACEMENT TEST
The prospective student is asked to take a placement test in order that their level of English competence is determined. STEP 2: SETTING LEARNING GOALS AND CHOOSING THE RIGHT EXAMINATION Once the student’s level is determined, the tutor and the student set some realistic learning goals upon which the tutor will base the syllabus and structure of the course. Then the tutor provides the student with information on the various language examinations and together they choose the examinations that best fits the exam candidate’s goals. STEP 3: TAILOR-MADE LESSONS The tutor designs and delivers tailor-made lessons, adapted to the student’s learning needs, thus facilitating the learning process and accelerating the student’s progress. The lessons’ aim is to increase the student’s competency in all four language skills – reading, listening, writing, speaking – while at the same time gradually familiarisng them with the structure of the exam in question. OUR APPROACH TO TEACHING:
STEP 4: MOCK TESTS Frequent mock tests – tests simulating the exam conditions – are scheduled 2-3 months prior to the exam date, thus giving the test-taker the opportunity to get used to its structure and work on their time management skills. The scoring system is the same as that of the formal examination. After important assessment, along with the test scores, the student also receives oral feedback with comments on progress made, areas of improvement, and recommendations. STEP 5: CERTIFICATION Finally, the student sits one of the English language examinations offered by prestigious institutions such as Cambridge University, the University of Michigan, etc. with a view to obtaining a recognised language certificate. |
