Innovative and highly effective teaching approach

• Lessons are exclusively monolingual, meaning that we speak English throughout the entire lesson.
• We maximise the student’s exposure to the target language by using English as the first language even in email and phone conversations outside of the digital classroom.
• emphasis on the development of the productive skills (writing and speaking)
• constant pronunciation correction & guidance for improving intonation and accent
• New vocabulary items are often accompanied by English definitions, prepositions, synonyms, antonyms, common expressions or collocations, and example sentences.
• Grammar is always presented in a meaningful context along with plenty of opportunities for practice and reinforcement - through not only a variety of grammar exercises, but also oral and written tasks.
• At first, students are often encouraged to self-correct, find their way around unknown vocabulary, and come up with alternative ways of expressing themselves; then and only then does the instructor give language-specific feedback and guidance.
• According to research findings, “memory is the residue of thought”; this is why we ensure that there is continuous interaction between the teacher and the student, and that the latter is often required to think, observe, makes guesses or draw conclusions, thus helping him / her to commit vocabulary to memory more easily and internalise knowledge faster.
• The teacher deliberately and methodically ‘injects’ both verbal and written speech with words and language structures the student has been recently taught in order to help the latter consolidate vocabulary.
• We’re active listeners. We listen intently to our student’s learning goals, aspirations and fears, and then we advise, guide, and inspire them. By doing so, our students adopt a growth mindset and gradually develop into fluent and confident speakers of the English language.
